Half way

Getting closer to half way on this painting. I reworked the blue fish that was oddly shaped because of the shadow and added some contrast to the yellow fish. More details to come.

One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish.

Even more colour and details. The blue one looks like two steps backwards, so he will be next...again.

Stage Three

Step three of the water colour. Working one koi at a time now and then moving on to refining the whole piece. I am still undecided on what colour to make the bottom left koi...Perhaps he will be white with red spots.

Beginnings

I just purchased a second hand drafting table last evening and while this is not the first of the many drawings I'll be creating on the new equipment, it is one to kick start a flurry of posts. This sketch was used a few months ago as a contribution to the theme 'fantasy' [http://maybesomeart.blogspot.ca/]
